ODA has played a key role in popularizing Odissi dance in India and abroad. Its exemplary training method and skilled teaching staff have produced young solo dancers and innovative group compositions that have been showcased in the U.S. South America,Europe and Southeast Asia.
Rasa
Rasa evokes a mood which the artist communicates to the audience who experiences it. In this item, nine rasas are conveyed through episodes from the epic Ramayana. The rasas are: sringara (love and desire), veera (chivalry),karuna (compassion),hasya (humor and laughter),bhayaanaka (fear),adbhuta (wonderment),bibhatsa (disgust),raudhra (anger) and shantam (peace and serenity).
