Hailing from the Ganjam district of Southern Orissa,Prahlad Natak is a folk theater form that is usually performed in a five or six tiered open air stage. Recently recognized as an endangered art form by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, Prahlad Natak is dynamic and engaging, following a three century old tradition and taking from a text of 120 songs.
