Bhubaneswar, once known as Kalinga and popularly known as the ‘Temple City’ is nearly 2500 years old.

Bhubaneswar has excellent communication with the outside world. You can arrive in India at one of its International Airports. The city is conveniently linked to the all International Airports in India by Air, Rail and Road.

Biju Patnaik Airport in Bhubaneswar has regular flights to and from all the major cities of India, including Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and to all state capitals. Work is in progress to upgrade the Biju Patnaik Airport into an International Airport.
Railways
There are direct trains to and from Bhubaneswar from all the major cities of India. Railway is the most preferred, safe and cheap mode of travel in India, though a bit time consuming.
Road
A well planned public transport system connects different locations within the city. It is connected with cities in Orissa and India through State and National Highways. Cars are readily available for hire from numerous travel agencies in the city.
