A. Every Saturday the students deliver Seminar talks on Topics pertaining to Modern Biology using various Audio-visual Aids available in the Department under the supervision of the Teachers for evaluation by a Panel of Judges for award of Prizes, Trophies and Medals during the Annual Day Celebrations.
B. Quizzes, General awareness tests, Essay writing competitions, Group discussions, Debate, Elocution etc. are conducted by the Teachers of the Department during the session for Personality development of the students and award of prizes during the Annual Day celebrations.
C. Guest Lectures are periodically arranged by inviting eminent Scientists from different fields for the enrichment of knowledge of the students and staff.
D. The Students and Staff of the Department organize Seminars for the celebration of National Science Day every year.
E. The Students and Staff of the department periodically participate in discussions pertaining to burning issues on environment, AIDS, Biodiversity, Conservation of Natural resources, etc.
F. The BIF Centre periodically organizes Workshops and Training programmes on Bioinformatics
