Objective
The objective of awarding scholarships to young and budding artists is mainly to provide them a work space to improve their skills/innovative ideas in their respective field of visual arts.
Selection
The selection for award of Scholarships will be made by a Jury comprising of senior artists. The photographs of exhibits or published article will be the
main basis, but not the only basis for selection. Number of Scholarships A maximum number of 40 scholarships will be given during the year 2013-
14 subject to availability of funds and work space.Value of Scholarship The Scholarship has a value of Rs. 10,000/- p.m. for a period of one year.
Entry Fee
There will be an Entry Fee of Rs. 100/- to be submitted along with the Application Form in the form of a Postal Order/Bank Draft payable to Secretary, Lalit Kala Akademi drawn on New Delhi branch.Work Space The selected applicants will be required to work only at the Regional Centres of the Akademi situated in New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar and two newly added centres at Jaipur and Guwahati attached to their respective State *(see table) only
