Cuttack is famous for 'Thunka-Puri' during Bali-Yatra; 'Alu-Dum', 'Guguni', 'Dahi-Bara' , 'Bara' and 'Piaji' throughout the Year. During immersion of Durga idols, the traditional item of 'Chakuli-Pitha' and 'Mansa-Tarakari' is served as a delicacy to the visitors during immersion time. For 'Alu-Dum' and 'Dahi-Bara', 'Raghu' is an institution by himself and the whole of village Bidanasi is engaged round the year for preparation of 'Dahi-Bara' and 'Alu-dum'.

During 'Diwali Puja' special sweets are made in shape of Deities, Animals etc. and are prepared out of sugar candy and in various colours.
